Art Project with Rohingya Refugees

Two artists - Fabienne Francotte from Belgium and Farzana Ahmed Urmi from Bangladesh - invited Rohingya women, adolescents and children to join them in a workshop dedicated to expression.

Drawing "out of the box" was a workshop where no skills were required and no standards applied. Participants used different tools, materials and art books to open their minds and souls. Expression was the key. Participants focused on identity, highlighting the inner journey of life and showing that negative can be transformed into positive.

3-hours session everyday exhibiting artworks, painting murals, writing names, making short movies, giving refugees a place where to share moods, emotions, fears, aspirations, forgetting uncertainties.
